Let’s Talk Grief

Hi! I’m Rashida!

I’m a therapist, social worker, and grief educator who believes that grief is more than just death. It encompasses all losses, even those you may have felt didn’t deserve space. My work is grounded in a deeply person-centered approach that integrates ACT and IFS-informed perspectives with grief- and trauma-informed care. My sessions are rooted in warmth, validation, curiosity, and a small slice of humor.

I believe therapy should be a place where you feel safe enough to exhale and spill your tea. A space where your grief, anxiety, anger, confusion, and contradictions are not only allowed—but welcomed. No judgment. My role is not to fix you. It’s to sit beside you as we gently untangle what hurts, make meaning of your story, and help you move toward a life that feels a little less heavy.

I provide therapy services under the clinical supervision of Trecia Davis, MSW, LCSW (MO License #2017011985). In-person sessions are offered at Healthy Mind Counseling and Wellness in St. Louis, Missouri.

My Approach, Focus & Experience

Therapy is deeply personal, and who you sit across from matters. Here’s how I approach therapy, the areas I commonly treat, and the clinical experiences that shape my work.

Monthly Affirmations

Life is already handing out enough unsolicited advice. Consider these gentle reminders instead. Take what serves you, leave what doesn't, and come back whenever you need them.

  • "I am learning to trust my own timing."

For those who feel behind, stuck, or tempted to compare their journey to everyone else's.

  • "I don't have to carry everything at once."

For those carrying too much, holding it all together, or feeling overwhelmed by the weight of it all.

  • "I can be grateful and struggling at the same time."

For those navigating complicated seasons where joy and pain seem to coexist.

  • "There is no deadline for becoming who I am meant to be."

For those who feel pressured to have life figured out or believe they're running out of time.
